Former Surrey seamer, Stuart Meaker, is working to help Ukrainian refugees – and is asking for the help of Surrey fans.

Meaker, who retired from the game last year after a long professional career that saw him take 348 wickets for Surrey, is planning to be part of a convoy of vans driving to countries bordering Ukraine delivering vital supplies to help the millions of refugees that have been suddenly displaced by the recent Russian invasion.

To help support his work, the Club have made space at The Kia Oval available to store donations from Surrey fans who want to contribute aid to the mission.

All you need to do is bring the products to the Pavilion End of the ground at any time this week and leave them with the Club’s security staff. Meaker will then collect them on Monday, ahead of his team’s mission.

Due to international regulations, the convoy is limited to only carrying certain goods, so please only bring the following products to the ground:

  • Women’s Sanitary Products
  • Pre-mixed Baby Milk
  • Pre-made Baby Pouches
  • Brand new Baby Bottles
  • Nappies (all sizes, including adult)
  • Baby wipes
  • Soap and shampoo bars
  • Toothbrushes and Toothpaste
  • Anti-bacterial wipes
  • Milton Sterilising Tablets
  • Colouring stuff for kids
  • Protein bars
