Dan Moriarty will join Yorkshire on loan until the end of July to play in the LV=Insurance County Championship.

Moriarty will be available to play in four fixtures, starting on Sunday against Gloucestershire and will end his spell with the game at Scarborough against Durham.

The left-arm spinner has played one game for Surrey this season, against Kent at Canterbury.

Alec Stewart, Director of Cricket at Surrey CCC, said: “This is a really good opportunity for Dan to play a number of First Class games over the next month or so and hopefully he’ll put in some really good performances which will prepare him well should he get selected in the Championship run-in during September.”
