Ollie Dabbous, Executive Chef and co-founder of Michelin-starred ‘Hide’ Restaurant, will be in the kitchen at The Kia Oval for the international summer in 2023. Dabbous, one of the most acclaimed and respected chefs in the country, will be preparing a bespoke, fine dining menu in the Duchy Suite – the premium hospitality area at The Kia Oval – for guests during the men’s Test Match and One Day International.

The 360 cover Duchy Suite at The Kia Oval is a private dining experience offering elevated views across the ground from the new Galadari Stand at the Pavilion end of the ground. During each day of Test Match cricket, guests will receive breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea as well as access to the fully stocked complimentary bar. For the ODI, a three-course lunch will be served with paired wines as well as a bespoke afternoon tea and late bites served during the game. Guests will also have exclusive use of a premium seating area on the Laker Balcony to watch the game unfold.

Dabbous’ Hide was first awarded a Michelin star in 2018 and is the second restaurant that Dabbous has led to the prestigious recognition after ‘Dabbous’ received the award shortly after it opened in 2012. As well as a Michelin star, Hide was awarded a coveted five stars in the Evening Standard and GQ restaurant of the year, all within six months of opening. Dabbous learnt his trade in some of the best-known restaurants in both the UK and abroad, including ‘Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons’, ‘Noma’, ‘The Fat Duck’, and ‘Texture’.

The Kia Oval has a hugely exciting and busy summer of international cricket with the most historic rivalry in the game: The Ashes returning in 2023. England’s men’s team will take on Australia in a five-day Test Match (27-31 July) – one of the best events in the sporting calendar. Ben Stokes’ exciting side thrilled fans last summer and will be looking to reclaim the Ashes for the first time in eight years.

There will also be a men’s One Day International, where England will face New Zealand (13 September) in a repeat of the astonishing 2019 World Cup Final. England are the reigning world champions in both T20 and One-Day formats, securing the T20 title in mid-November.

Alex Lewis, Director of Operations at The Kia Oval, said “Having Ollie Dabbous join us here at The Kia Oval is a real privilege. Ollie is one of very best chefs in the country and will be serving up some of the finest dishes available anywhere. We’re very excited for all our guests who join us in the Duchy Suite during this incredible summer of international cricket to taste Ollie’s spectacular cooking.”
