Dynamite with the bat, Evans is a mainstay in Surrey's T20 set-up
After coming through the Club’s academy, Evans left Surrey in 2010 and has since been on the staff for Warwickshire and Sussex. Whilst at Warwickshire and then Sussex, Evans has developed an international reputation in the white ball game, playing franchise T20 cricket in the Caribbean, Bangladesh, Australia, and Pakistan as well as multiple stints in the UAE-based T10 league.
Evan’s made his England Lions debut in 2020, hitting 94 against a Cricket Australia XI in Canberra, before being selected in England’s initial white ball ‘bubble’. Evans’ impact on the Vitality Blast side of 2020 was profound, helping Surrey to nine consecutive victories that carried us all the way to the final.
He was again important in the 2021 Vitality Blast campaign before joining Oval Invincibles in The Hundred. Ahead of the 2022 season, Evans has signed a white-ball only contract meaning he will only be available in the Vitality Blast and Royal London Cup.
Since his return, the attacking batter has been a mainstay for the Three Feathers’ T20 set-up over the years, batting with terrific intent and scoring bundles of runs at a high strike rate.
