Promising with bat and ball, Albert is one for the future
Ralphie Albert signed his first professional contract with Surrey after the end of the 2025 season. Albert has been part of the Surrey Talent Pathway since U9, playing in every age group along the way and joined the Academy in 2024.
The all-rounder made his professional debut as a 17-year-old in the 2025 Metro Bank One Day Cup clash against Derbyshire and played in Surrey’s final Rothesay County Championship match of the season at Hampshire. He hit 96 against Nottinghamshire Outlaws on his maiden professional innings and battled to a crucial 62 in the second innings of Surrey’s Championship victory over Hampshire. Following a bright start to life in Surrey’s senior team, Albert picked up the Anne Bickerstaff Emerging Player Award at the end of the season.
Albert was also a regular in the England U19s set-up in 2025, playing ten ODIs and two Youth Test matches, impressing with 6/53 in the second Test match against India at Chelmsford.
