Ollie Pope, Ben Foakes, Kemar Roach and Hashim Amla are all expected to be available for Surrey’s season opener against Warwickshire at Edgbaston.

Pope has recently been on England’s tour of the West Indies but was not selected in any of the three Test Matches.

Wicket keeper Foakes and West Indian fast bowler Roach – on opposing sides in the same series – are also expected to play in Birmingham. South African batter Amla has now arrived in the country and is also due to be available.

ECB have also confirmed that Pope’s fellow centrally contracted players, Club captain Rory Burns and Sam Curran, will also be available for selection, although Curran is only available to play as a batter due to his continuing recovery from a long term injury.

Fast bowler Dan Worrall, recently signed by the Club, has had his arrival in the UK delayed due to family issues. It is hoped he will become available before the end of April.
