Ticket sales have passed record levels for a women’s international at The Kia Oval.

England’s Women will play their first game at The Kia Oval since 2009, with Heather Knight’s side taking on the Australians in a Vitality IT20, as part of the multi-format Ashes series on Wednesday 5 July.

Surrey’s Alice Capsey, Sophia Dunkley and Nat Sciver-Brunt will all be looking to put their stamp on the IT20 match on home soil.

Over 10,000 general admission tickets have been sold for the fixture, with demand amongst fans at an all-time high for women’s cricket.

Australia are the top side in the women’s game, adding another World T20 title to their trophy cabinet in February. But England will fancy their chance on home soil with their exciting young side that is bursting with talent.

The last time The Kia Oval hosted a women’s international was back in 2009 and England secured victory over Australia by eight wickets with just three balls remaining.

Tickets for this fixture can still be bought here.
