Sam Curran’s Chennai Super Kings are sitting pretty at the top of the Indian Premier League after six matches, with our all-rounder featuring in all of them.

Captained by MS Dhoni, Chennai have five wins from their six matches including Wednesday’s defeat of Sunrisers Hyderabad during which Sam removed England teammate Jonny Bairstow.

He now has six wickets from his six matches, the second most in the Chennai side. Those six wickets have come from 21 overs out of a possible total of 24 and at an economy rate of 8.71, often bowling in the powerplay.

After starring with the bat in last year’s tournament, Sam is currently lower down the order. He’s had three innings with the bat with a high score of 34 against Tom’s Delhi Capitals earlier this month.

Tom Curran has played two matches for Delhi Capitals, taking one wicket. Jason Roy is yet to feature for Sunrisers.

The Indian Premier League will continue throughout May, with the final scheduled for the 30th of next month. All three players will be unavailable for Surrey until they return from India.
