Surrey Second XI will start their Championship game against Hampshire at The Ageas Bowl this week.

A squad of 12 has been named for the four day game, including Sam Curran, who is set to make his first competitive appearance of the season for the Club. Curran is continuing his return to playing programme under the guidance of the ECB medical team.

He adds to a strong squad that includes nine members of the professional squad as well as two triallists, batter Justin Broad and right arm seamer Jack Winterbottom and wicket keeper Josh Blake, who was behind the stumps for last week’s two day friendly with Somerset at Taunton Vale CC.

The match is a four day game with play starting at 11am every day.
