Dom Sibley was presented the prestigious Surrey Cap and named the Club Vice Captain today.

During the lunch interval on day one against Hampshire, Sibley was given his cap by Chair Oli Slipper as Surrey’s new Vice Captain received a standing ovation from the Members and spectators.

Sibley is a product of the Surrey Talent Pathway and burst onto the scene scoring a double-hundred at The Kia Oval as an 18-year-old, the youngest double centurion in County Championship history.

The opener made his England debut in 2019 and everyone at the Club is incredibly proud to see his success. Dom rejoined his boyhood club in 2023 and was a key figure at the top of the order in Surrey’s title-winning season, finishing as the Club’s leading run scorer.

This season, Sibley has started strongly and has already collected 260 runs at an average of 86.66, including two centuries – 100 against Somerset at The Kia Oval and 150 against Kent at Canterbury.
