Kia’s Young Cricketer Competition is returning once again this summer, offering aspiring cricketers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to show their skill on the hallowed turf at the iconic Kia Oval as well as learn from cricket legend Mark Ramprakash.
On Saturday, 19 September, Kia will welcome a group of young cricketers, aged 11 to 14, to be coached by Ramprakash as well as other inspiring coaches at Surrey County Cricket Club, followed by a tournament played on the centre wicket at the Kia Oval.
Former England and Surrey batter Ramprakash, who was recently selected as Surrey’s greatest men’s cricketer of the 21st century, scored 114 first-class centuries and made over 35,000 runs in his playing days. Since then, the 56-year-old has worked as a batting coach for England and Middlesex as well as served as the director of cricket at Harrow School.
With its brand ethos centred around Movement That Inspires, Kia is committed to giving back to the cricket community, nurturing young talent and providing grassroots cricketers with the chance to immerse themselves in the sport they love.
Entries close at 11.59pm on August 14, 2026.
