Surrey County Cricket Club captain Hannah Jones has pulled out of The Hundred – where she was due to represent London Spirit.

Jones, who last year captained Surrey to success in the inaugural London Championship, is suffering from an ongoing shoulder injury and has also been affected by the changing Covid-19 regulations.

A number of other female Surrey players are still taking part in the competition: Aylish Cranstone (London Spirit), Eva Gray (Oval Invincibles), Rhianna Southby (Oval Invincibles), Alice Capsey (Oval Invincibles), Dani Gregory (Oval Invincibles), Bryony Smith (Welsh Fire), Amy Gordon (Welsh Fire), Sophia Dunkley (Southern Brave) and Natalie Sciver (Trent Rockets).
