Surrey CCC are seeking to recruit two new Non-Executive Directors to join their Board.

The Club

Surrey CCC are a leading first-class county cricket club, founded in 1845, now with around 18,000 Members and revenue from cricket and our other commercial activities at The Kia Oval in excess of £40 million. The Club won the County Championship in 2022 and 2023 and are focused on future success on the field for all our teams. The Club is guided by a respect for our heritage combined with a forward-thinking agenda. Our ambition is to be the most inclusive and sustainable county cricket club in the country and the best international cricket ground, while fully engaged with our local community, winning trophies, and developing cricketers for England.

The Roles

The Club is seeking to recruit two new Non-Executive Directors to join the Board. The Board is comprised of the Chair, Honorary Treasurer, Chief Executive, Director of Finance & Services, Director of Cricket and several Non-Executive Directors with a diverse blend of professional skillsets.

The Candidates

Having recently reviewed the skills matrix of the Board, the Club believes they would benefit from the addition of two new Non-Executive Directors with the following backgrounds:

  • Investment Banking
  • Corporate Law

The candidates should be proven leaders in one of the fields listed above, with a love of cricket.

The Board meets eight times per annum, with meetings typically lasting two hours. As well as regular attendance at the Board meetings, the candidates should support the Board and the Executive on an ad-hoc basis when relevant issues or opportunities arise.
