Surrey have finished fifth in the South Group of the Vitality Blast, narrowly missing out on qualification for the knock out stages.
Yesterday’s results, particularly Hampshire’s aggressive chase of 184 from just thirteen overs to defeat Glamorgan, means Surrey miss out on the top four on run rate, ending the competition with a NRR of 0.332, compared to Hampshire’s 0.388 – a number that was significantly boosted by the speed of their victory.
Surrey will next be in action on Thursday, against Yorkshire at Scarborough in the opening round of the Royal London One Day Cup group stage, a fifty over match. Action starts at 11am and a live stream will be provided by our hosts on the Yorkshire CCC YouTube channel, which will also be carried on the Surrey CCC website.
