Surrey’s players have been back in The Kia Oval since 11th January as preparations for the 2021 domestic season continue.

All the equpment from the usual Strength & Conditioning gym in the Bedser Stand has been moved over to the Jardine Suite (pictured above) in the 1845 Stand.

A big space usually used to host conferences and events, the Jardine Suite gym allows our players to continue to social distance while training.

Those players not abroad for T20 competitions or with England’s Test side have been using the set up to work with the coaches on their fitness and the Ken Barrington Centre to net, while the turf inside the marquee on the outfield is prepared for cricket. The players will start to use the marquee next month.

Jamie Overton, now in the UAE for the T10 League that starts on the 28th January, was one of the first to get back in to the nets.

Meanwhile, seamer Conor McKerr was using the extra space in the 1845 Stand to work on his sprinting.

Back over in the nets, Daniel Moriarty’s putting the time in.

Finally, as well as the England players and T20 stars abroad, Jordan Clark & Nico Reifer are in Barbados. That isn’t stopping them netting though!

You can keep up with the players’ pre-season training across their social media channels.

The best way to see Surrey in 2021 is with a Membership at The Kia Oval, starting from £69 for adults and just £20 for U16s.
