With little over a month until the start of the LV= Insurance County Championship season, Surrey’s squad are now training on grass for the first time this winter.

The Kia Oval’s marquee, stationed on the far end of the square at the gasholder side of the ground, creates an opportunity for warm-weather training on grass pitches.

Due to the nature of the construction, temperatures make it comfortable for playing cricket no matter what the weather is like outside, while the Club’s ground staff have been hard at work to prepare high quality pitches that give an experience as close as possible to that the players will experience during the upcoming season.

Surrey’s players, other than those currently overseas for a range of commitments, are reporting to The Kia Oval to work with Interim Head Coach Gareth Batty.

The best way to see Surrey in action in 2022 is with a Club Membership, priced at £20 for U16s and from £71 for adults.
