Surrey’s best will face each other in a one off floodlit T20 warm up event at The Kia Oval on Friday 4th June, with our current Academy Graduates taking on the players from the Rest of the World.

That will see the likes of Will Jacks and Jason Roy come up against their teammates from elsewhere in the country or overseas, like internationals Sean Abbott & Hashim Amla.

With 15 current Academy graduates in the squad, there’s sure to be some fierce competition. Players will also be looking to impress the coaching staff ahead of the start of our Vitality Blast campaign less than a week later.

The action will start at 6.30pm and as it is due to be played after Monday May 17th, the match will be played in front of a limited crowd of cricket fans – provided the country remains on track to leave lockdown according to the government’s road map.

Similarly to the LV= County Championship and Vitality Blast matches played between May 17th and June 20th, crowds will be permitted up to 25% of capacity at The Kia Oval.

More details will be revealed closer to the time, but Director of Cricket Alec Stewart is using the match as an important part of the squad’s white ball preparation ahead of Surrey’s first Vitality Blast match, a London Derby against Middlesex at Lord’s on Thursday June 10th.

Tickets are free of charge and will be exclusively available to Surrey Members between Tuesday May 4th and Friday May 21st. To apply, simply visit the Surrey ticketing site.
