Surrey’s 2nd XI will begin their 2021 season with a four-day friendly at Guildford CC against Hampshire on Monday 12th April.
After no 2nd XI cricket in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, the side returns to action in 2021. Following the friendly with Hampshire, Surrey will play eight fixtures in the four-day 2nd XI Championship and ten matches in the T20 competition, with T20 Finals Day scheduled at Arundel on 24th June.
The vast majority of Surrey’s home fixtures will be played at our LSE New Malden ground, with the friendly and our first home match in the 2nd XI Championship against Yorkshire to be played at Guildford.
Every four-day match, with the exception of our September trip to Gloucestershire, will begin at 11am. All four-day matches beginning in September begin at 10:30am in order to ensure maximum daylight hours.
T20 matches are scheduled to start at 2pm although these start times are subject to change. Supporters should keep their eyes on kiaoval.com, where any changes will be reflected.
In accordance with government guidelines, all fixtures will be behind-closed-doors before 17th May. Information on potential attendance at fixtures following the 17th May will be announced closer to the time, following consultation with the government and specific venues.
Squads, including the professionally contracted players involved, will be named on a match-by-match basis. Live scorecards and end of play reports will be available on kiaoval.com and the Club’s social media channels.
