A look at everything that happened during the Vitality Blast encounter between Surrey and Sussex Sharks at The Kia Oval on Thursday.

WHAT HAPPENED

Only five overs were possible at The Kia Oval on Thursday night before a torrential rain storm set in throughout South London.

Surrey had enjoyed a strong start to their innings, reaching a total of 53/2 from the five overs achieved. Will Jacks was the star of the show, making 38 runs from just 18 deliveries.

His opening partner Jason Roy had gone for a duck in the first over after top edging a David Wiese ball down to fine leg, where 16-year-old spinner Archie Lenham completed a steepling catch.

Laurie Evans joined Jacks and acted as the junior partner in a stand worth 50 runs before he was eventually out lbw to Will Beer for 8. Shortly afterwards, the rain arrived and no more play was possible.
