The Tales from The Oval podcast returns this week with regular host Tom Holland (The Rest is History) back to rejoin Jon Surtees (Surrey CCC) and discuss their selection of the three greatest ever innings that have ever been played at The Oval
There will certainly be controversy about the determinations, with Tom and Jon discussing the reasons behind their choices – and then going onto profile each innings, giving context and detail about where they view its place in the history of the sport and the history of The Oval.
Without giving away any spoilers, you can expect to find some great men of Yorkshire and Gloucestershire and hear about innings that stretch over almost the entire 179 year history of the ground.
Future episodes will be released every Wednesday, with episode 9 – coming on Wednesday July 24th – discussing who has earned the distinction of the greatest Surrey team of all time.
