Surrey & England bowler Tom Curran has been signed up by the Delhi Capitals for this year’s Indian Premier League in Thursday’s draft.
Curran attracted something of a bidding war but it was the Capitals who eventually won his contract for 5.25 crore rupees. To see the full list of players picked in Thursday’s draft, click here.

The new season of the IPL is set to take place between March & May with exact dates still to be confirmed. Curran, and his brother Sam who was retained by Chennai Super Kings last month, will be unavailable for selection for Surrey while they compete in the tournament.
25-year-old Tom has played in the IPL twice before, representing Kolkata Knight Riders in 2018 and Rajasthan Royals in 2020. He also has extensive experience in other overseas T20 leagues, having played for Sydney Sixers in Australia and Tshwane Spartans in South Africa.
