Former Surrey Head Coach Vikram Solanki has thanked everyone involved at the Club for helping to make his time at The Kia Oval so special.

In January it was confirmed Solanki will take on the Director of Cricket role at Indian Premier League side Gujarat Titans and therefore end his nine-year association with Surrey.

Having joined in 2013 as a player, Solanki eventually hung up his spikes and moved into an Assistant Coach role that initially saw him take charge of the 2nd XI.

In 2018, he worked closely with the 1st XI as we lifted the County Championship title. He then became the Club’s Head Coach at the end of the 2019 season following the departure of Michael Di Venuto.

Now, in a lengthy interview with Mark Church, Solanki goes through his time at the Club and discusses the relationships he has built at The Kia Oval, including with Director of Cricket Alec Stewart and new Interim Head Coach Gareth Batty.
