Interim Head Coach Gareth Batty is leading his first training sessions in the role this week and there are plenty of Surrey players in action.
While several players are on a break, including Test men Rory Burns & Ollie Pope and recent Big Bash winner Laurie Evans and others are still out of the country, such as Jason Roy & Chris Jordan, a lot of the squad are now preparing for the 2022 domestic season.
It was announced last week that Batty will take up the position for the 2022 season, assisted by Jim Troughton and Azhar Mahmood. The pair will join Batty shortly.
Batty replaces Vikram Solanki, who has become Director of Cricket at the Ahmedabad side in the Indian Premier League, while Assistant Coach Richard Johnson is on the way out to become Head Coach of Middlesex.
