Five Surrey players have been selected in the 2022-23 Academy Squad for the South East Stars.

Izzy Berry, Maddie Blinkhorn-Jones, Charlotte Lambert, Bethan Miles and Charlotte Stubbs have all been named as part of the development group for the region.

All five young players were regulars for Surrey last year and will get the opportunity to train alongside the professional players in the South East Stars team as well as taking part in regional matches against the other academy sides across the country.

Bethan Miles has already impressed, making her Stars debut in a victory against the Thunder, the left arm spinner taking 3/15 in her first appearance for the side. Pace bowler Charlotte Lambert has shown her quality for Surrey this year, taking 15 wickets with a best of 4/30.

Included in the 11 player squad are players from Surrey, Kent and Sussex: Emily Burke, Darcey Carter, Sydney Gorham, Genevieve Jeer and Jemima Spence (all from Kent) and Indigio Gentry (Sussex) complete the squad.
