Surrey fast bowler Conor McKerr has joined Yorkshire Vikings on loan for five Vitality Blast games in June.

The short-term loan will see McKerr link up the Yorkshire squad ahead of their home game at Headingley against Derbyshire Falcons on Sunday, 9 June.

The 26-year-old pacer will also be available for Yorkshire against Warwickshire, Leicestershire, Lancashire Lightning, and Durham before County Championship cricket returns.

McKerr was Surrey’s second-highest wicket-taker in the 2023 Metro Bank One Day Cup with nine and has claimed 12 wickets for the Second XI across formats this season.

Alec Stewart, Director of Men’s Cricket at Surrey CCC, said: “This short term loan move will give Conor a good opportunity to showcase his skills in the T20 Blast and give him further experience in this form of the game.

“We wish him the very best for the next couple of weeks at Yorkshire and will be following his performances.”
