Five young cricketers from the Surrey Pathway have been selected to represent the London and East Region in the prestigious ECB Bunbury Festival this week.
Luke Attfield (Harrow School & Spencer CC), Aaryan Basu (Harrow School & Dulwich CC), Ollie Mortlock (Whitgift School & Esher CC), Sebastian Price (City of London Freemen’s School & Leatherhead CC), Josh Wiles (Blenheim School & Epsom) have already featured in their team’s six-wicket win over the North Region at Loughborough.
The group of five are also part of the squad for the white-ball competition, which started earlier today.
In the red-ball match, Mortlock impressed with his new ball spell, taking 2/38 in the first innings. Basu and Wiles were also amongst the wickets in the first and second innings, respectively.
Attfield played a brilliant knock of 86* in the second innings to win the match, while Price remained unbeaten in both innings.
