Surrey County Cricket Club Board Member Ros Trinick will step down from her position at Surrey as she is set to join the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in the new year as Communications Director.

Trinick, who has served on Surrey’s General Committee from 2021-25 and became a Non-Executive Director in 2024, will step down from her club role before starting at the ECB in February. In her new position, she will lead the organisation’s communications strategy across public affairs, media relations, internal communications, social media and content.

Ros brings extensive experience from the civil service, where she is currently the Director of Communications at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology, and having previously worked at M&C Saatchi Group.

Surrey Chair Oli Slipper said “I want to place on record my thanks to Ros for her service to Surrey. Since joining as a Member nearly 10 years ago, Ros has been a passionate supporter of the Surrey teams and of the Club. She has served on both the General Committee and the Board, representing our Membership and providing strategic support to the Club.”
