Surrey Academy product Will Jacks has been called up to the England squad for the IT20 Tour of Pakistan, which starts on 20 September.

Jacks will be in the company of Surrey team-mates Sam Curran and Reece Topley as he joins up with an England squad for the first time. The touring squad will fly out on 14 September ahead of seven matches between 20 September-2 October.

Jacks was the leading run scorer in Surrey’s Vitality Blast campaign this year, making 449 runs at an average of 32, including five half-centuries and a strike rate of 142. The opener also captained Surrey for the first time in the quarter-final defeat to Yorkshire.

Jacks is already fifth on Surrey’s all-time T20 run scorers, despite having only made his debut in 2018. Bowling off-spin, Jacks has taken 20 career T20 wickets at an average of 23.5 and an economy rate under seven runs per over.
