Surrey and England seamer Chris Jordan has joined Sydney Sixers ahead of the upcoming Australian Big Bash League.

Since the end of the 2021 domestic season in England, Jordan has played for England in the T20 World Cup and made three appearances at the Abu Dhabi T10 League with Northern Warriors.

The 33-year-old has returned to The Kia Oval, where he began his professional career, after nine seasons with Sussex. He will captain Surrey’s Vitality Blast team in 2022.

He takes his significant T20 experience to the Sixers, having played 71 T20 internationals for England and taken more wickets than anyone else for his nation in the format.

He has also played in many of the major leagues around the world including the Indian Premier League, Caribbean Premier League, Pakistan Super League and previously in the Big Bash with Adelaide Strikers, Perth Scorchers & Sydney Thunder.

Jordan joins Tom Curran at the Sydney Sixers and will come up against Surrey teammates Laurie Evans (Perth Scorchers), Reece Topley (Melbourne Renegades) and Daniel Worrall (Adelaide Strikers) during the competition. It all begins on Sunday 5th December and runs until Friday 28th January 2022.
