As one of the major landmarks along the Northern Line route of the London Underground, The Kia Oval was a major part of Transport for London’s Line of Light festival last weekend.

Following the above-ground route of the 3km Northern line extension tunnels each evening on Friday 29 and Saturday 30 October, the Line of Light went between Battersea Power Station and Kennington.

Between 6.30pm and 10pm, a daisy-chain of high-density light beams illuminated the new stations at Battersea Power Station, Nine Elms and Kennington, and painted the route of the tunnels in the sky to create the Line of Light.

At The Kia Oval, a number of colourful projections were shone on to the outside of the Micky Stewart Members’ Pavilion with free entry into the forecourt available for all following the route or passing by.
