Player Bio
Fast Bowler Jamie Overton is contracted to Surrey until the end of the 2023 domestic season.
He initially joined Surrey on loan in the 2020 season before his three-year contract began. Overton brings with him nine years of experience at county level. Since his Somerset debut in 2012, he has been a key pillar of one of the best attacks in county cricket.
The Devon-born six-foot-five right-arm fast bowler is also a dynamic fielder and dangerous lower order batsman, scoring at a quick rate in red and white ball cricket. His first appearances in a Surrey shirt helped us to the 2020 Vitality Blast final.
A shortened run-up ahead of the 2022 season saw Jamie bowl with high pace and consistency that saw him terrorise batters around the country. He took 34 wickets in 10 matches and scored a useful 355 runs as Surrey won the County Championship. His impressive start to the season saw him make his England Test debut against New Zealand in June 2022.
