The dynamic all-rounder from New South Wales returns for his fourth spell in 2026

Having made his first-class debut for New South Wales in 2011, Abbott rose to prominence in the 2013/14 season when he won the Steve Waugh Medal, which is awarded to player of the season at New South Wales.

Sean Abbott returns for his fourth spell this summer after successful spells at the Club in 2021, 2023 and 2024. He has the most wickets in Big Bash League history with 186.

His 34-ball century against Kent Spitfires in 2023 is the joint-fastest in the competitions history – an accolade he shares with his hero Andrew Symonds.
