The Wholesale and Convenience arm of Premier Foods, one of the UK’s largest food producers, has renewed its contract with Surrey County Cricket Club for another year, having enjoyed a successful initial year.
The partnership allows Premier Foods access to The Kia Oval’s state-of-the-art facilities to host clients during matches, as well as a meet-and-greet opportunity with a Surrey player during their promotional events.
Premier Foods’ ‘Summer of Cricket’ campaign with the Club proved to be an instant hit amongst its customers. Offering incentives to independent retailers across the country, the campaign provided retailers with a chance to win tickets, including hospitality, to watch the men’s Ashes at The Kia Oval last summer.
As part of the partnership, Surrey and England’s Reece Topley joined up with Premier Foods at a Bestway depot last summer, interacting with a room full of retailers and staff on what was a brilliant event.
Premier Foods is one of the UK’s largest food producers with more than 9 out of 10 households buying one or more of its products every year, with Batchelors, Bisto, Loyd Grossman, OXO, Mr Kipling and Sharwood’s amongst its family of much-loved brands.
Charlie Buck, Commercial Director at Surrey CCC, said: “Working with Premier Foods has been a pleasure and I’m delighted that our partnership will be continuing for another year.
“The matchday experiences at The Kia Oval that we offered last year with Premier Foods proved highly popular amongst their retailers as did the meet-and-greet event with Reece Topley. We look forward to building our partnership further in what should be another season of action-packed cricket.”
Courtney Lewis, Customer Director for Discounters and Independent Wholesale at Premier Foods, added: “We are delighted to renew our contract with Surrey Cricket Club for another year. Cricket is a sport which is popular with many of our independent Wholesale and Retail customers. This partnership is an exciting opportunity to celebrate the game with them, and to offer some great cricketing prizes.”
