Surrey & England batsman Jason Roy will play for Perth Scorchers in the upcoming edition of Australia’s Big Bash League.

The World Cup winner will join fellow England man Liam Livingstone at the Scorchers for the 10th year of the competition, which kicks off on the 3rd December.

Roy heads down under in fine form after hitting three half-centuries in five innings for Surrey as we ended the year as Vitality Blast runners-up.

“The Scorchers squad looks very strong, I’m excited to be joining the club,” he said.

“I’ve heard the environment of the club is awesome and that it’s a place where everyone wants to help get the best out of each other.

“I can’t wait to get amongst the boys and help contribute to as many wins as possible.”

We’ll provide updates on Jason’s performances for the Scorchers throughout the tournament.
