Surrey make additions to women’s playing group

Surrey Women’s squad has been impacted by a number of international call-ups as the team enters a busy period of the domestic season and have added two players to the team in Ivreen Dhaliwal and Anna Buckle.

Eight members of the Three Feathers squad are currently away on international duty. Tilly Corteen-Coleman, Alice Capsey, Sophia Dunkley and Danni Wyatt-Hodge are with England and Priyanaz Chatterji is away with Scotland for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Meanwhile, Kira Chathli, Kalea Moore and Ryana MacDonald-Gay are representing England A in their ongoing series against India A.

These absences have created opportunities within the squad, with players stepping up to contribute at first-team level.

The club continues to promote talent through its pathway, and Ivreen Dhaliwal has received a rookie contract.

Having impressed in Surrey’s Academy and Second XI, Dhaliwal has signed a short-term rookie contract and made a senior debut against Durham in the Metro Bank One Day Cup.

A fitting debut for Dhaliwal, having dominated against Durham’s Academy earlier in the month by scoring 205 in a three-day game in the North.

Surrey have also added 22-year-old Anna Buckle to the squad. The right-arm seamer joins from Sussex and has featured for Surrey’s Second XI since 2025. Buckle has been awarded a two-week rookie contract to provide additional depth during this period.

Buckle has made 19 appearances in T20 cricket, recording best bowling figures of 3 for 10.
