Surrey have named their side to take on the Sri Lanka Development XI at Guildford starting on Friday 20 May.
Cam Steel captains the side which includes Ryan Patel, who has impressed during the County Championship season so far, and Gus Atkinson who played a key role in Surrey’s win against Northants earlier in the season.
After an intense start to the season, which has seen an unbeaten Surrey play six games in six weeks, the opportunity is taken to rest some of the frontline pace attack. Tom Lawes and the in-form Nathan Barnwell will lead the line alongside the twin spinners of Virdi and Moriarty. Brett Hutton joins on loan from Nottinghamshire to bolster the seam line up.
