Surrey’s players got the competitive juices flowing with a day of go-karting before the serious business of the cricket season begins.

With just three weeks until the LV= Insurance County Championship begins with a trip to Edgbaston, the men’s squad are now fully focused on cricket.

However, earlier this month they got a day away from the nets to relax and show off their inner Lewis Hamilton at Surbiton Raceway, just south of London.

The day began with suiting up and safety videos before the fun began. Initially, each driver had a warm-up before they were split into teams for qualifying.

Those who qualified with the quickest laps had the advantage on the grid for the start of the hour-long team race.

Once that was completed, each individual’s quickest lap time was taken and the 27 attendees were split into three individual finals with nine in each of the slow, middle and fastest final.

All players & coaches currently in the country were invited to the team bonding trip, but who was it who came out on top? Click on the below video to find out.
