Last week, Surrey were victorious against Essex in a thriller at The Kia Oval.

Essex posted 271 in their first innings as Adam Rossington scored a century. Dan Worrall returned with first innings figures of 6/56.

With the bat, Surrey fell to 112/7 before Will Jacks smashed 150 not out to take Surrey to 319 all out.

Essex were bowled out for 208 in their second innings as Worrall took five more wickets to take his game-tally to 11.

Surrey needed just 160 runs to win with three and a half sessions left. Rory Burns (40) and Ryan Patel (38) set Surrey on their way before nightwatchman Tom Lawes (32*) and Ollie Pope (4*) took them over the line.
