Surrey took the honours in the London Cup, a dominant display saw the side win by nine wickets with 11 overs to spare.
Middlesex won the toss and chose to have a bowl at The Kia Oval. Exciting young quick Charlotte Lambert struck with her fifth ball, having opener Issy Routledge caught at point.
Leg-spinner Dani Gregory picked up a wicket with her very first delivery, Blinkhorn-Jones taking a superb catch on the boundary. Wickets continued to fall as skipper Bryony Smith, Bethan Miles and a second for Gregory left Middlesex 41/5 at halfway.
A smart piece of fielding from Kira Chathli saw Bhavika Gajipra run out and Alice Capsey bowled Riva Pindoria for no score. Middlesex rallied, with Iqraa Hussain making a patient 21 but Capsey took two wickets in an over to leave Middlesex 64/9. Eva Gray returned and had Hussain smartly stumped to leave Surrey chasing 69 to win.
Kira Chathli came out in fine form, taking a couple of stylish boundaries off the first over. Smith followed suit of the second over as Surrey’s chase started with real pace. Chathli continued batting smartly and took three consecutive boundaries from the fourth over including a sublime off drive straight down the ground.
Surrey passed 50 without loss, Smith unfurling a textbook cover drive before cutting powerfully for four more. Chathli was caught for 28 with nine required before Capsey came in and struck a lofted cover drive over the infield for four more. A single later and the London Cup was won by nine wickets, Smith finishing 28 not out.
