Surrey’s 2021 County Championship fixtures

Surrey will begin their 2021 County Championship campaign at Gloucestershire’s Bristol County Ground on Thursday 8th April.

Then follows an intense period of red-ball cricket with one match a week until the end of May against all Group 2 opponents Gloucestershire, Hampshire, Leicestershire, Middlesex & Somerset, culminating in the Guildford festival between 27-30 May.

A period of white-ball cricket will follow in June before the 10 match group stage is completed early in July.

Four of the five home fixtures will be streamed live across Surrey channels while the Kia Oval London derby against Middlesex between 20th and 23rd May will be shown on Sky Sports.

All away fixtures will be covered on Club channels, with live streams shared where made available by the host county.

2021 will see a slightly altered County Championship season, with three groups of six competing for places in Division 1, 2 & 3.

Those finishing in the top two of each group will move in to Division One, third and fourth in Division Two and fifth and sixth in to Division Three. Click here for more information on this year’s format.

The four matches to be played in each division will go from late August until late September before the five-day Bob Willis Trophy final between 27th September & 1st October.

Vitality Blast & Royal London Cup fixtures will be confirmed by the ECB in the new year.
