Surrey & England bowler Tom Curran has suffered a stress fracture of his lower back.
Curran returned home after a back issue while playing for Sydney Sixers against Melbourne Stars at the Big Bash League on the 15th December. Further scans on his return to London have revealed the extent of the injury.
He will now undergo rehabilitation at The Kia Oval under the guidance of Surrey’s medical staff.
It is estimated that the 26-year-old will not return to cricket before the start of the Vitality Blast.
