Surrey’s first two fixtures of the 2024 Vitality Blast have been announced with a trip to Hampshire on the opening day of the competition, followed by hosting 2023 champions Somerset three days later in a double-header with the South East Stars.

‘Vitality Blast Off’ will return bigger and better next summer with a four-day festival of men’s and women’s domestic T20 cricket. Surrey will kick off the Vitality Blast in the first fixture of the tournament away at Hampshire on Thursday 30 May as part of the new, expanded introduction to the competition.

Surrey will then head home to take on defending champions Somerset, with the South East Stars facing off against the Southern Vipers in the Charlotte Edwards Cup on Sunday 2 June.

Chris Jordan’s side will be looking to avenge their semi-final defeat in the 2023 competition and lay down a marker for the rest of the campaign. Bryony Smith’s Stars team will also be facing the competition’s reigning champions and it promises to be a fascinating fixture.

With the men’s county and women’s regional domestic fixtures to be announced next Thursday, the early release of the Vitality Blast Off schedule gives fans the chance to start planning for next season.
