Surrey are offering fans a chance to win a copy of the Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack 2023 signed by fan-favourite Ben Foakes – making the famed piece of cricket literature all the more special for Surrey supporters.
The 30-year-old – who’s enjoying a productive season with the Three Feathers, having scored two crucial centuries and amassed 535 runs in red-ball cricket to go with his collection of 45 catches, which includes some absolute stunners – was named one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year for 2023 earlier this summer.
To enter the competition, all supporters need to do is comment the number of runs Foakes scored in Surrey’s Metro Bank One Day Cup opener against Leicestershire Foxes at The Kia Oval on one of the social media posts about the giveaway competition by the Club’s official Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook page.
Two lucky winners, who provide the correct answer, will be drawn by computer at random and be contacted by the Club once the competition closes at 11:59 pm on Thursday, 10 August 2023.
The latest and 160th edition of one of the most famous cricket books in the world – published every year since 1864 – contains some brilliant articles. It reflects on the extraordinary life of Shane Warne, and looks back at another legendary bowler, S.F. Barnes, on the 150th anniversary of his birth. The book also reports on England’s triumph at the T20 World Cup, to go alongside their 2019 ODI success, and on their Test team’s thrilling rejuvenation under Brendon McCullum and Ben Stokes.
