With the Vitality Blast just around the corner, the popular ‘Power Player’ competition is back as Surrey and Xbox teamed up again to offer fans a golden chance to win a Surrey-branded Xbox Series S console!
To claim the prize, all you need to do is put on your thinking cap and correctly guess one of Surrey’s Xbox ‘Power Player’ of the season!
Two lucky winners – who correctly predict either which Surrey batter will get the highest individual score, and what that score will be, or which Surrey bowler will post the best figures, and what those will be, in a group stage Vitality Blast match at The Kia Oval – will take home the custom-branded Xbox Series S consoles.
The 2024 competition will run ahead of Surrey’s first Vitality Blast T20 at The Kia Oval, with entry open from Thursday, May 9 till Sunday, June 2 at 12:00pm. The draw will take place on Monday, July 22 and the winner will be emailed by Surrey CCC shortly after.
Last year, Sean Abbott and Chris Jordan topped the Xbox ‘Power Player’ charts. Abbott’s mind-blowing innings of 110* from just 41 balls – the joint-fastest century in the competition’s history – against Kent put him above the rest in the batting leaderboard. The opening pair of Will Jacks and Laurie Evans formed the chasing pack, courtesy of their innings of 96 and 85 respectively that came while batting alongside each other in the run-fest against Middlesex.
Jordan’s match-winning 4/21 against Glamorgan proved to be the best figures for a Surrey player at The Kia Oval, with Jacks (2/7) and Sunil Narine (2/18) completing the top three.
Only one entry per participant, which includes both batting and bowling elements of the competition, will be allowed. If there are multiple entries from an email address/name, these will be discarded and only the first entry will be counted. Entrants need to be aged 16 or above.
