With the biggest ever season of Vitality Blast on the horizon, Surrey and Xbox have expanded their fan-favourite ‘Power Players’ giveaway competition as it enters its third year.  In 2025, the competition will cover Surrey men’s as well as women’s matches, meaning that four lucky winners, instead of two, will get their hands on a Surrey-branded Xbox gaming bundle in the summer!

To take home the Xbox gaming bundle – which includes a controller dressed in Surrey branding, six months’ worth of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and a Surrey T20 shirt – the assignment for the supporters is simple: guess one of Surrey’s four Xbox ‘Power Players’ of the season, either from the men’s or the women’s team.

Four fans – who correctly predict either which Surrey men’s or women’s batter will get the highest individual score, and what that score will be, or which Surrey men’s or women’s bowler will post the best figures, and what those will be, in a group stage Vitality Blast match at the Kia Oval – will bag the amazing prize.

The giveaway competition is now open and will close on 5 June before the start of Surrey’s first Vitality Blast doubleheader against Hampshire Hawks at the Kia Oval.

Newly named men’s T20 skipper, Sam Curran, and Surrey favourite, Sean Abbott, were the Xbox ‘Power Players’ of the last season. Curran, under the lights at the Kia Oval, smashed his way through to the top of the batting charts with a maiden T20 century to win a memorable match against Hampshire Hawks. Australian Abbott was top of the bowling list, with his 3 for 8 against Somerset proving to be Surrey’s best bowling figures in a home Vitality Blast group stage match.

This summer, one of the many contenders for race for the highest individual score could be Paige Scholfield, who has a knack for putting on a show with the bat at the Kia Oval, having previously done so for Oval Invincibles and South East Stars. Among the bowlers, leg-spinner Dani Gregory or seamer Ryana MacDonald Gay would certainly be in the reckoning to notch up the best figures.

For the men’s side, it would not be a surprise to see white-ball specialist Laurie Evans, with his terrific ball-striking ability, finish as one of the Xbox ‘Power Players’ of the season, though the competition for him is set to be fierce in a batting unit that boasts plenty of firepower. New Zealand skipper Mitch Santner would want to hit the ground running for the Three Feathers and is as good a shout as any to win the bowling competition.

Only one entry per participant, which includes both batting and bowling elements of the competition for both men’s and women’s teams, will be allowed. If there are multiple entries from an email address/name, these will be discarded and only the first entry will be counted. Entrants need to be aged 16 or above. The full terms and conditions can be found here.

As the Official Family Zone Partner of the Kia Oval and being one of the Founding Partners of the Club’s ‘Tier One’ women’s team, Xbox supports Surrey men’s and women’s teams and has been associated with the Three Feathers since 2019.
