After a well-deserved break after winning the LV= County Championship, members of the Surrey squad are set to play cricket around the world in preparation for the 2023 season.

Ollie Pope, Ben Foakes, Will Jacks and Jamie Overton have been selected in the England Test squad for the three-match Test tour of Pakistan in December.

Ahead of the series, Will Jacks and Jamie Overton will travel to Abu Dhabi in November to prepare for the Test tour of Pakistan. They will be joined by the rest of the England Test squad (including Ollie Pope and Ben Foakes) on November 18.

Wicketkeeper Jamie Smith has been selected as part of the England Lions 15-player training group who will also spend the majority of the November in Abu Dhabi.

The England Test side will face the England Lions in a three-day practise match from November 23-25.

Sam Curran and Chris Jordan are currently in Australia as part of England’s squad for the ICC T20 World Cup. Reece Topley has flown home following an ankle injury sustained in training ahead of the tournament.

Jason Roy will fly to Australia to join Curran and Jordan in the England squad for a three-match ODI series against Australia at the end of November.

For the first time since the start of the pandemic, players can travel to Australia to play club cricket.

Tom Lawes has already landed in Adelaide to play for Kensington Cricket Club in the South Australian Grade Cricket League.

Ben Geddes is playing in Perth for the University of Western Australia Cricket Club, playing in the WA Premier District Cricket Competition.

Josh Blake is in Sydney playing for Hawkesbury Cricket Club in the New South Wales Premier Cricket League. Blake will also be training at The International Cricket Programme (ICP).

Nico Reifer (Gold Coast) and Cameron Steel (Perth) are also playing club cricket in Australia over the winter.

Dan Worrall is in Adelaide training alongside his studies.

In late November, Gus Atkinson will be playing for the Northern Warriors in the Abu Dhabi T10.
