Among the best allrounders in the country, Surrey can always rely on Clark
Clark’s right arm seam and powerful batting adds balance to the squad across all three formats of the game.
Clark was a central figure for Lancashire since his debut in 2010, helping the county to back-to-back T20 finals in 2014 and 2015 and a runners-up finish in Division One of the Specsavers County Championship in 2017. He also enjoyed several excellent red ball performances against Surrey at the Kia Oval in recent years, scoring 260 runs in just four innings including a career-best 140 in a drawn match in April 2017.
His first season at Surrey saw him score 590 runs and pick up 30 wickets across all formats. Injury prevented him from adding to that significantly in 2020 but he stepped up to be a new ball bowler in both red and white ball cricket in 2021.
2022 saw Clark take 30 wickets in 11 matches as Surrey were crowned County Championship winners. He was awarded his Surrey county cap during the title-clinching victory over Yorkshire for his outstanding contribution to the side since joining.
Since then, Clark’s stature at the Club has continued to rise, playing a vital role with the ball and the bat as Surrey secured two more County Championships in 2023 and 2024 as well as being an important figure in the T20 set up. Ahead of the 2025 season, Clark had scored over 1850 runs, including three centuries, and collected 169 wickets, with a best of 6/21, in 60 First Class matches for Surrey.
