Dan Worrall and Amy Gordon were voted Players’ Player of the Year last night as Surrey celebrated the end of another successful season with their 2024 Awards night
Ryan Patel was awarded his county cap by Alec Stewart to end the evening.
Men’s captain Rory Burns won the first award of the evening. His 1,073 Championship runs led to being named as Surrey Men’s Batter of the Year.
The magician – Dan Worrall, was named as the 2024 Men’s Bowler of the Year. Worrall took 52 wickets from 11 Championship matches as Surrey stormed to their third consecutive County Championship title.
With 348 runs across all formats, captain Amy Gordon won her first award of the night as she was awarded the Women’s Batter of the Year for 2024!
Seam bowler Charlotte Stubbs was awarded the Women’s Bowler of the Year award.
Jason Talmer takes home the Surrey Cricket Foundation Disability Player of the Year.An attacking all-rounder, Talmer has a knack of breaking partnerships with his off-spin and clears the ropes with ease!
Sam Curran’s incredible 102 not out from 58 balls in the Vitality Blast against Hampshire Hawks was the Sylvester Clarke Moment of the Year.
19-year-old Ollie Sykes wins the Anne Bickerstaff Emerging Player of the Year award for 2024. Sykes has impressed in the Second XI and has made his first team debut in all three formats this season.
Men’s all-rounder Cam Steel was voted the Graham Kersey Team Member of the Year by the cricket support staff for a third year in a row.
The final two awards were Players’ Player of the Year, which were won by Amy Gordon and Dan Worrall.
