Surrey County Cricket Club are delighted to announce an expansion of their prestigious partnership with Pommery Champagne. The Club initially welcomed the French brand as the Official Champagne Partner at the Kia Oval on a multi-year basis in 2024.
Pommery is the exclusive champagne for the Kia Oval, which is poured alongside their English Sparkling wine Louis Pommery England across the bars as well as hospitality and Members’ areas during the cricket season and at conferences and events throughout the year. On international match days, hospitality guests are greeted into the ground with a refreshing glass of Louis Pommery English Sparkling Wine.
To celebrate the growth of women’s domestic cricket in the country and at the Club, Pommery have also unveiled an all-new ‘Bottomless Brunch’ match-day experience at the Kia Oval for the first-ever T20 Vitality Blast Women’s Finals Day on 27 July.
Pommery’s champagne and seafood garden, providing a relaxed and comfortable space for supporters to enjoy their food and drinks, made its debut during the venue’s first international of the summer. The popular trailer bar will return for England men’s Test Match against India at the end of July, situated once again in the forecourt of the Micky Stewart Members’ Pavilion.
Alongside offering magnums of champagne to lucky winners during Surrey’s record-breaking Festival of Red Ball Cricket this summer, Pommery are winning the hearts of Surrey fans through their ‘Fan of the Match’ giveaways during the Vitality Blast matches.
Pommery have also collaborated with the Club to rebrand the Laker Debenture in their colours. The French champagne makers have brought their premium offering to the Laker balcony so that Surrey’s Laker Debenture Members can savour some of the best champagnes in the world whilst enjoying the cricket action from a picturesque view.
Adrian Wells, Commercial and Marketing Director at Surrey CCC, said: “It has been a pleasure working with Pommery over the past year, and we are thrilled to see our partnership grow stronger and stronger.
“Their passion for celebrating sport and bringing supporters closer to cricket and Surrey shines through in the efforts they are putting in at the Kia Oval. We are excited to deliver the upcoming events and activities that are in the locker for Surrey fans with Pommery.”
Julien Lonneux, Chief Executive Officer of Vranken Pommery UK, said : ”We are thrilled to extend our partnership with the Kia Oval and Surrey County Cricket club to include our range of English Sparkling wines, Louis Pommery England, alongside Champagne Pommery. It is a significant honour that both brands will be side by side at this iconic venue and we look forward to playing an increased role in the experience of cricket enthusiasts at the ground for years to come.”
