With the 2021 domestic season now in full swing, there’s lots for our players to play for and it’s all set to be a busy May at The Kia Oval and around the country.

Surrey’s senior sides began their competitive campaigns in April with mixed results. With the weather warming up, the cricket continues to come thick and fast. Here we take a look at the matches you can expect this month.

Men’s 1st XI – LV= County Championship

Our men’s side begin the month by ending the ongoing fixture with Hampshire at The Kia Oval. From there, there’s only more and more red-ball cricket to come.

By the end of the month, our position in Group 2 will be much clearer and our expectations for achievements in first-class cricket will be outlined. We’ll have four complete fixtures, meaning just two remain in this first stage of the competition. June then sees focus shift to the Vitality Blast.
